Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate with appropriate endorsement for teaching area.
• Ability to develop IEPs and participate in ARD process.
• Knowledge of curriculum and special needs of students.
• Familiarity with campus, district, state, and federal policies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents and staff in the development of IEPs.
• Develop and implement social and academic programs according to IEPs.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show evidence of preparation.
• Assess student progress regularly and modify classroom environment for success.
• Provide or supervise personal care or medical needs per IEP.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff; participate in trainings.
