Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston seeks a Test Tech to join the AI&T team. You will help assemble, test and validate components for lunar landers and related projects, developing procedures and recording results.

You will perform a range of tests including load, vibration and thermal tests, and document final results. Strong collaboration and problem solving are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in structural testing.
• Familiar with assembly tools, such as torque wrenches, calipers, etc.
• Familiarity with spaceflight materials, processes, fasteners and connectors.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) - nice to have.
• Familiarity with assembly and environmental testing practices.
• Experience in aerospace/defense/aviation industries - nice to have.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Creative approach to problem solving.

About the Position:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Test Techto join our team. This position will support the vehicle Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) team. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the integration, assembly, and test at the subassembly level and at the vehicle level for lunar landers and other projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop written assembly and test procedures

• Support integrated testing, such as load testing, vibration testing, thermal testing, actuator testing, and document and submit final test results
• Developing designs and solutions to integration and testing issues that may arise

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in structural testing
• Familiar with assembly tools, such as torque wrenches, calipers, etc.
• Familiarity with commonly used spaceflight and commercial specifications for materials, processes, fasteners, mechanical components, connectors, wiring, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) - nice to have
• Familiarity with standard practices for assembly and environmental testing of hardware as well as the tooling and ground support equipment associated with these tests
• Previous experience within aerospace, defense, or aviation industries (nice to have)
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Creative approach to problem solving
