Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. seeks an experienced AISR Support Operations Lead to oversee mission support, system readiness, and coordination for airborne ISR capabilities within the C2ISR enterprise.

The role requires collaboration across technical, operational, and programmatic teams to ensure network missions stay online. The candidate should have ISR operations experience, strong knowledge of network security, configuration management, and willingness to travel to support remote or austere locations.

Qualifications

  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS/CS/Cybersecurity/Software Engineering or related field.
  • DoD 8140.03 DCWF 441 (Intermediate) pathways or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience supporting airborne ISR operations and C2ISR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee AISR support operations and mission readiness for C2ISR networks.
  • Serve as primary interface between operations, engineering, logistics, PMs, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate planning and tracking of readiness, baselines, and system availability.
  • Monitor network performance, identify risks and improvements for mission effectiveness.
  • Support integration of new capabilities (sensor upgrades, software releases, data-link improvements).
  • Manage operational reporting, status updates, and leadership documentation.
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to training and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards, security, and configuration management.

Job Title: AISR Support Lead

This position is pending contract award.

Job Responsibilities

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced AISR Support Operations Lead to oversee mission support, system readiness, and operational coordination for airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (AISR) capabilities within the C2ISR enterprise. The ideal candidate has a strong background in ISR operations, multi‑domain mission support, and collaboration across technical, operational, and programmatic teams.

  • Lead and coordinate AISR support operations, ensuring C2ISR Network missions stay online.
  • Serve as the primary interface between operations, engineering, logistics, program management, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and tracking of C2ISR readiness, configuration baselines, sustainment tasks, and system availability.
  • Monitor performance of C2ISR network operations; identify risks and recommend improvements to mission effectiveness.
  • Support integration of new capabilities, including sensor upgrades, software releases, data‑link enhancements, and workflow optimizations.
  • Manage operational reporting, status updates, and documentation for leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Facilitate technical and operational collaboration across C2ISR disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards, security requirements, configuration management processes, and mission support guidelines.
  • Mentor junior network technicians and operators; contribute to training, best practices, and process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must meet the qualification requirements of DoDM 8140.03 for the DCWF 441 - Network Operations Specialist (Intermediate) work role through an approved qualification pathway (Education, DoD Military/Training, Certification, or a combination thereof), as defined by the applicable contract. Qualification Pathways (One or More May Apply).

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering.

  • Certification (OR)
    • DoD-approved 8140-aligned certification for DCWF 441 (Intermediate), such as: CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CEH.
  • Experience supporting airborne ISR operations, mission planning, PED workflows, or C2ISR systems.
  • Strong understanding of ISR collection processes, sensor integration, and data handling.
  • Familiarity with system sustainment, configuration management practices, or lifecycle management principles.
  • Ability to travel worldwide, including to remote or austere locations. Individual trips may extend up to two months, with the possibility of multiple trips per year.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex network issues within routed and switched infrastructures.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking technologies and enterprise network management tools.
  • Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, multicast routing, VLANs, VPNs, and network performance monitoring solutions.
  • Experience performing packet analysis, log analysis, fault isolation, and root‑cause investigations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical personnel.
Desired Qualification
  • Experience with multi‑platform or distributed AISR systems.
  • Understanding of systems engineering or technical integration processes.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage operational priorities.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or senior analyst role within C2ISR or ISR.
  • Experience supporting SOCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM, TRANSCOM, Space Force, or other Combatant Command environments.
  • Experience supporting OCONUS operations and remote‑site sustainment activities.
  • Prior military service or experience supporting DOD customers.
