Your attention to detail and commitment to quality directly impact how customers experience Hy-Vee online.If you enjoy staying active, take pride in doing a job right, and thrive working independently in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to have you on our team.**What You'll Do**No two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:* Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer warmly and assisting them with their needs throughout the store* Accurately select groceries ordered online by customers, choosing the highest quality produce, meat, and other fresh products* Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones* Ensure products maintain proper temperature throughout the entire fulfillment process* Place gathered orders in storage at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly prior to the customer's arrival* Cart orders to and place them in the holding area for customer pickup* Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles* Tender customer orders through POS and process credit card payments* Substitute products for customers upon request or when items are unavailable* Continually monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment* Answer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers* Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines* Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up**Your Skills**To be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to:* Bring commitment to Hy-Vee's mission and a genuine passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience* Select the highest quality products with a strong eye for freshness and accuracy across all departments* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and store personnel in a friendly, approachable manner* Stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment* Identify problems and develop practical solutions, including making product substitutions on the fly* Work independently and complete daily workloads with limited supervision**Reporting Relationships****Accountable and Reports to:** Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home; Online Shopping Department Manager**Education and Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred**Physical Requirements*** Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas* Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation* Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment* Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards* Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties**Working Environment**This is a fast-moving role with constant pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks throughout your shift. You'll work primarily in a retail store setting and may be exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, moving equipment hazards, and electrical equipment.
