Job summary

Avolta is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily operations at the John F. Kennedy International Airport Distribution Center.

You will receive, verify, and stock merchandise, maintain accurate inventory records, and help ensure timely replenishment for retail locations in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities include processing returns, aiding in cycle counts, operating pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred, including inventory handling and order processing.
• Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, and verify incoming merchandise; report shortages or overages to management promptly.
• Process and complete all required documentation for merchandise returns to vendors.
• Assist with stock replenishment for sales floors and backrooms; ensure timely and accurate product placement.
• Isolate, sort, and organize damaged or outdated products for supplier credits and returns.
• Maintain accurate inventory records; assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
• Notify management of out-of-stock items and assist in placing stock orders as needed.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely to move inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general warehouse upkeep.
