Job summary

Amazon.com Inc. in Erlanger, Kentucky is hiring Airport Warehouse Associates to sort packages, prepare them for aircraft, and support loading operations with the newest Amazon technology.

This role provides training, offers flexible shifts, and opportunities to upskill through free training programs; candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and be able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Use a valid driver’s license to operate cargo trucks (CDL not required).

• Weigh, label, or make/break‑down cardboard containers.
• Lift up to 49 pounds.
• Handle, move, and stack boxes.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks to move items.
• Go up and down stairs where applicable.
• Work at heights up to 40 feet on a mezzanine where applicable.
• Work outdoors in different weather conditions.

Airport Warehouse Associate

Job Overview

Basic Job Requirements

1. Be 18 years or older
2. Understand and follow instructions in the required language.
3. For this job, a valid driver’s license is required; a commercial driver’s license is not required.
4. In accordance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) requirements, applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check to obtain access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) and must be able to secure the appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
5. This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Federal law also requires Amazon to determine an applicant's DOT drug and/or alcohol testing history prior to hiring him/her into a position that would require them to conduct safety sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.

What You’ll Do

Schedule Options

1. Shift Options. Early Morning, Daytime, Evening, and Overnight hours.
2. Weekly Hours. Full-Time (40 hours), Reduced-Time (30-39 hours), or Part-Time (20-29 hours).
3. Schedule Flexibility. Choose from a variety of fixed weekly schedules to support your work‑life balance.
4. Work-Life Balance. Select shifts offer different weekend options (including 2-day and 3-day weekends), with opportunities for overtime when needed.

Work Conditions

1. Temperature. Climate controlled facilities maintain temperatures between 60°F and 90°F in most areas. Outside on hot days, temperatures can exceed 90°F and on cold days, temperatures can reach below freezing.
2. Noise level. It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.
3. Dress code. Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for safety. Comfortable, closed‑toe shoes are required and protective safety footwear are required in select business units. Depending on the role or location, Amazon provides a $110 Zappos gift code towards the purchase of shoes, in order to have you prepared for your first day on the job.
