Job summary

East Coast Protective Services is seeking reliable Traffic Control Flaggers to support operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. They are responsible for safely directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in designated airport areas while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

The role requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work in varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete background screening and airport security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using approved hand signals, flags, paddles, cones, barricades, and signs.
• Assist with traffic flow around terminal roadways, parking areas, construction zones, loading areas, and other designated locations.
• Stop, slow, or redirect traffic as directed by airport procedures and operational needs.
• Maintain safe separation between vehicles, pedestrians, equipment, and work areas.
• Monitor assigned areas for traffic hazards, congestion, accidents, blocked lanes, or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with traffic control during construction, maintenance, special events, roadway closures, and emergencies.
• Provide professional directions and assistance to passengers, drivers, contractors, and airport employees.
• Immediately report accidents, security concerns, hazards, and unusual activity to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete required daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation.
• Follow all airport-specific procedures, post orders, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain required airport credentials and successfully complete all required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
