Highly skilled advanced field and indoor work at the journeyman level in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical circuits, equipment and fixtures including runway lighting and power distribution systems; and related work as required.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma. A valid driver's license. Applicants must be eligible for coverage under the airport's auto liability insurance policy. EITHER a Class "C" Maintenance Electrician license from either the New Orleans Board of Electrical Examiners or another jurisdiction or state OR Class "D" Journeyman Electrician license from either the New Orleans Board of Electrical Examiners or another jurisdiction or state.
A qualifying review of licensure. This is a non-competitive original entrance examination.
