Qualifications

• At least 1 year of specialized experience supervising transportation-security operations.
• Experience as a work leader or supervisor, with workload distribution and coaching duties.
• Eligibility notes: majority vacancies may be limited to current TSA employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
• Oversee passenger, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, or cargo-screening operations
• Assign work, set priorities, and coordinate rotations.
• Make security-based decisions per TSA procedures.
• Review performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Approve leave and address routine workplace concerns.
• Respond to security incidents, checkpoint disruptions, and emergency situations.
• Prepare operational briefings and incident reports.
• Coordinate with airport stakeholders, law-enforcement personnel, and TSA leadership.
• Recommend improvements to screening procedures, staffing plans, and airport operations.
