Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI. You will protect travelers, staff and facilities, with a schedule that supports work-life balance.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control and incident reporting, using firm judgment and customer-focused service. Driver’s license and background checks are required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state regulations.

• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and report unusual activity.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs per procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned airport areas, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
