The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks an Assistant Airport Security Manager to oversee the Airport Security Unit operations, including credentialing, contract management, and enforcement of TSA directives. The role requires TSA secret clearance and a background check.

In the ASM’s absence, you will serve as the alternate Airport Security Coordinator and primary TSA contact, coordinating with PAPD and other agencies to ensure security compliance and incident readiness across airport

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Three years of experience monitoring contractor performance.
• Three years of experience supervising staff.
• Must be able to pass a criminal history records check and obtain SIDA badge and airfield driving privileges.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the ASM in overseeing the Airport Security Unit, including the Security Credentialing Office and contract management of security services.
• Serve as alternate ASC and primary TSA contact in the ASM’s absence.
• Monitor cargo handling areas and operators for security compliance and close any gaps.
• Assist in planning and managing TSA-mandated security exercises and drills.
• Lead participation in threat, vulnerability and risk assessments and develop mitigation measures.
• Assist in preparing and managing the Airport Security Unit budget and expenditures.
• Support strategic planning for the Airport Security Program.
• Coordinate with PA central office on policies and future initiatives.
• Prepare responses for PA Audits and TSA reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Act as liaison with airport tenants, TSA, and other agencies on security matters.
• Review Tenant Security Programs and enforce TSA compliance.
• Build relationships with TSA, CBP, PAPD and other agencies for efficient security operations.
