Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH seeks a full-time Security Officer Mobile Route Driver. This role protects clients across government and other facilities, patrols unarmed, monitors access, and delivers courteous service to travelers and staff while following site policies.

The position requires a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and the ability to work the 4:00 PM–12:00 AM schedule Sunday through Thursday (Wed-Sun as listed).

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned airport facilities, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and check credentials as directed, assisting with access-control procedures for restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
