Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC in Spokane, WA is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead a ramp team, marshal aircraft, load/unload baggage, de-ice, and operate ramp equipment.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma, ability to obtain required credentials, 18+ years old, and a valid driver’s license. We offer weekly pay, PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Candidates must work rotating shifts outdoors in varying weather; opportunities for training and advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport/state/customs requirements.
• Possess a valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: One year of relevant aviation/ground handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ramp agents in ramp service duties.
• Marshal the aircraft on the ramp for arrivals, departures, and towed aircraft.
• Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wings during pushback and de-icing as required.
• Load, unload, sort and transfer baggage, airmail, freight and company material to/from aircraft bins or carts.
• Operate ramp equipment such as bag tugs, belt loaders, towing tractors, water servicing and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• May perform cabin service duties such as cleaning, restocking, and servicing the aircraft.
• Adhere to Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity policies.

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading a ramp team and marshalling aircraft in and out of gate, loading, unloading and sorting baggage. Also responsible for cleaning the aircraft, restocking items, de-icing aircraft, carrying out inspections, hazard checks. Operate ramp equipment such as stairs and bridges.

Job Duties:

• Lead a team of agents in ramp service duties.

• Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders or baggage carts.
• Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• May be assigned cabin service duties like servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabin, restocking supplies, and other items.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to frequently lift, greater than 70lbs and constantly lift up to 70 lbs; Constantly push, pull up to 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
