Job summary

Unifi is seeking individuals to join its ramp team in Detroit. You will marshal aircraft on the ramp, load and unload baggage, clean the aircraft, de-ice as needed, and operate ramp equipment such as belt loaders and tow tractors.

No experience is required as paid training is provided. Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, be able to obtain airport/state credentials, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to obtain credentials as per airport/state requirements.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Marshal arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
• Perform wing walker duties to protect aircraft wing from equipment during pushback and de-ice as needed.
• Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, air mail, freight and company material.
• Operate ramp equipment such as bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, servicing vehicles.
• May perform cabin service duties including cleaning lavatories, restocking supplies and other duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly.
