Job summary

CC Holdings, Inc. is hiring prep cooks for Indianapolis International Airport in Indianapolis, IN 46241. The role supports cafeteria stations and grab-and-go prep, assembling produce, cooking, labeling, and ensuring safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow recipes and food prep standards.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and portioning ingredients according to established recipes and food preparation standards.
• Wash, peel, cut, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients as assigned.
• Assist with assembling and preparing food items for service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures at all times.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation and work areas.
• Properly store food, ingredients, and supplies according to established procedures.
• Monitor food preparation areas and notify the appropriate team member when supplies or ingredients need to be replenished.
• Assist cooks and other kitchen team members with daily food preparation and service needs.
• Properly use kitchen utensils, equipment, and other tools after receiving appropriate training.
• Follow established recipes, portion sizes, preparation procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, workstations, dishes, and other areas as assigned.
• Follow all company, health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
• Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
• Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows portion control and presentation specifications as set by the café.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
• Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in kitchen.
• Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures.
• Work at efficient and consistent pace.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Has the ability to deal with changes.
• Willingness to assist in other tasks when asked.
• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.
