Avports seeks a General Manager / ARFF Chief (temporary) to lead mission-critical airport operations and public safety at BLV, MidAmerica St. Louis Airport. The role is full-time and on-site, responsible for ARFF, security, and regulatory readiness in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure safety, continuity, and top-tier service while guiding a multidisciplinary team and maintaining compliance across FAA and TSA requirements.

Formación

• Experience leading airport operations and public safety functions.
• Ability to manage regulatory compliance in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as General Manager / Chief of Public Safety and senior on-site authority.
• Oversee airside, landside, terminal, ARFF and security activities across all shifts.
• Lead emergency response and irregular operations with incident command responsibility.
• Maintain FAA Part 139, TSA 49 CFR Part 1542 compliance and audits.
• Direct the Airport Operations Center and daily inspections, reporting, and actions.
• Lead FAA and TSA inspections, audits, exercises, and operational readiness efforts.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures and training programs.
• Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise staff and shift operations.
• Coordinate with leadership, tenants, agencies, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Support budgeting, procurement, equipment readiness, and inventory management.
