Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Field Supervisor in Charlotte to oversee cleaning and maintenance operations at an airport facility. You will lead a team of administrative and janitorial staff, coordinate daily tasks, and liaise with airport management to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for passengers and staff.

The shift schedule is 3rd Shift (9:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST). Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, with offers based on experience and market data.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid State Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial services, preferably in an aviation or large facility environment.
• Knowledge of airport security and safety protocols.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage janitorial and administrative staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with airport safety regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee daily cleaning operations in terminals, restrooms, lounges, baggage areas, and other airport facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
• Coordinate with airport management and other departments to ensure janitorial needs are met.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
• Enforce health and safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and resolve any customer or passenger complaints regarding cleanliness.
• Train and mentor janitorial team members, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance evaluations.
