Job summary

The County of Volusia is seeking an Airport Landscape Equipment Operator for the Daytona Beach International Airport. This is a contracted position employed through a third-party vendor, with no county benefits.

The role involves transporting and operating landscaping equipment to maintain and repair landscaped areas around the airport, and requires the ability to work nights. Working hours are 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, 32 to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass criminal history background checks and drug screening.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida drivers license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.

Responsibilities

• Operates mid-level landscaping equipment and performs routine service.
• Maintains safety by performing daily equipment inspections.
• Loads and unloads materials and assists the landscaping maintenance crew.
• Performs other duties as required.
• May operate vehicles including towing trailers.
