Job summary

The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) seeks an entry-level Airport Worker I in the Grounds Maintenance department at Harrisburg International Airport. The role supports daily operations, maintenance, and customer service in an environment that may require extended hours in peak periods.

Responsibilities include learning and applying safety and regulatory standards, performing grounds work, and assisting with on-site tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass yearly FAA, TSA, and SARAA training.
• Background and security check to obtain Airport Identification Badge.
• Valid PA driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow SARAA, FAA, TSA, and SARAA safety and operational procedures.
• Operate and communicate on airfield radio equipment.
• Perform maintenance tasks including mowing, landscaping, tree trimming, fencing, lighting, carpentry and snow management.
• Provide airport customer service aligned with Airport Standards.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
