Job summary

The Clark County Department of Aviation seeks an Airport EVS Supervisor to lead the EVS team and ensure clean, welcoming spaces across the airport and amenities following established procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least high school diploma and 3 years of full-time EVS/custodial experience, including 1 year in a lead or supervisory role, with willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic airport environment.

  • At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Two years as Airport Senior EVS Attendant may count toward lead/supervisory requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, train and review the work of Airport EVS Attendants and related staff.
  • Ensure a welcoming, clean and safe environment across airport facilities.
  • Supervise on assigned shift and coordinate with contractors when applicable.

Job description

The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport EVS Supervisor position. This position creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests by ensuring that the airport and common areas are clean, comfortable, and well maintained to produce the highest quality of cleanliness in all areas following established procedures to include planning, assigning, training, and reviewing the work of Airport EVS Attendants, Airport Senior EVS Attendants, community service workers, and/or service contractors on an assigned shift.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who is committed to supporting employees and providing an exceptional experience for airport guests. Additionally, the ideal candidate will embody the DOA's values of collaboration, innovation and excellence by working alongside their team and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility List to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services. Employee Services reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.

Education and Experience:

Equivalent to graduation from high school AND three (3) years of full-time EVS, custodial or housekeeping services experience, which includes at least one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience. Two (2) years of full-time experience as an Airport Senior EVS Attendant may be considered for the required one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions:

Work evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts, depending upon the department to which assigned. May be exposed to body fluids and other hazardous substances.

Licensing and Certification:

Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment. Must pass the airport's Badging Security Class with a ramp designation upon initial appointment and complete a Clark County Defensive Driving Class during probationary/qualifying period.

Medical Examination:

Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing:

Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.

Residency Requirement:

Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and drivers' license laws within 90 days of employment.

Citizenship:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.
