Job summary

Webber Waterworks, a Ferrovial Construction subsidiary, is seeking an entry-level laborer to assist foreman and skilled workers on heavy civil projects around the Jacksonville area. This on-site role requires physical work and the ability to drive to job sites.

The position involves safety-focused responsibilities, teamwork, and learning through hands-on tasks such as digging, lifting, mixing materials, and assisting with pipe installations. Background check and a clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
• Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
• Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.
