Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician to perform construction observation in the Illinois area, focusing on paving, drainage, utilities, lighting, and structural work for airports and transportation projects.

You will monitor field activities, document compliance with plans, and assist with cost estimates and quantity takeoffs while coordinating with contractors and designers. A CDL and relevant experience strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years construction observation, construction materials testing, or related education/training.
Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Represent owner in monitoring construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications.
Perform and/or oversee onsite construction materials testing.
Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with contractor and designers.
Assist engineers/designers with developing plans and specifications, including cost estimates, quantities and constructability reviews.
