Job summary

Quantem Aviation Services in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Cargo Agent/Screener to expedite and route incoming and outgoing air cargo and freight for air transport.

The role requires operating screening equipment (X-ray/ETD), identifying hazardous cargo, and securing proper documentation while coordinating with airline customers, TSA, and CBP. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain SIDA badges are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances required by Local and Federal Authorities.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Build up and break down cargo pallets and freight containers according to guidelines.
• Identify cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and guidelines.
• Obtain proper security documents for all shipments.
• Organize freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Screen cargo for IEDs and other dangerous substances using screening equipment.
• Operate X-ray and ETD screening equipment.
• Maintain cargo screening logs and documentation.
