Budget Car & Truck Rental in Kansas City Airport is offering a Spring Semester - 2027 internship for a Business Management & Recruiting Intern. You will engage in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and developing employees while gaining hands-on experience in daily operations and customer service at the airport rental counter.

The role provides exposure to business management, leadership, and operations with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as skills grow.

Qualifications

• Weekday and weekend availability required.
• Must be able to work at the Kansas City Airport.
• Must be able to successfully complete applicable background and employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting and sourcing candidates for open positions.
• Review applications and resumes and help identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct and participate in candidate interviews.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and new employee orientation.
• Help maintain staffing levels and recruiting activity for the airport operation.
• Build relationships with potential candidates and local recruiting sources.
• Learn and assist with the daily management of the Kansas City Airport rental operation.
• Support customer service and rental counter operations.
• Assist with monitoring vehicle availability, inventory, and operational needs.
• Help ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing needs.
• Help identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Work with management and employees to maintain an efficient, professional operation.
• Work alongside management to develop leadership and supervisory skills.
• Assist with training and team development.
• Help promote a positive, productive team environment.
• Learn how management decisions affect customer service, employees, sales, and overall business performance.
