Job summary

BEUMER Group is a global leader in airport baggage handling solutions, seeking a Test Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning and testing across North America. The role leads commissioning engineers, manages schedules, and ensures safety and quality during system handover to customers.

You will drive testing programs, document results, and support customer acceptance and training efforts, with travel up to 50% and a strong focus on collaboration with project partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of baggage handling systems or airport automation experience.
• Direct commissioning, testing, and system startup experience on airport projects.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Airport Security Clearance.
• Strong understanding of control systems, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel across North America up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the seven phases of commissioning and testing activities for airport baggage handling systems.
• Lead and manage the work of commissioning engineers and test personnel assigned to airport projects.
• Measure, monitor, and report progress across all commissioning, testing, and system acceptance phases.
• Ensure all commissioning documentation, check sheets, test reports, and turnover packages are accurately completed and maintained.
• Liaise with project management and operational teams to support on-time and successful project execution.
• Coordinate with third parties, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding testing requirements and evaluation activities.
• Validate system functionality, operational performance, and compliance with project requirements.
• Represent BEUMER during commissioning, testing, and stakeholder meetings with customers and authorities.
• Develop, maintain, and adjust commissioning schedules and resource plans.
• Identify, document, and report discrepancies between system performance and specs.
• Coordinate service interruptions and testing windows with customers and airport stakeholders.
• Support and conduct customer acceptance testing and operational readiness activities.
• Deliver customer training and facilitate transition to Support teams.
