Job summary

City of Rolla is seeking a part-time, non-exempt employee to maintain and fuel aircraft at the Rolla Municipal Airport. The role involves mowing the airport grounds, fueling aircraft with approved equipment, and light maintenance of facilities, including cleaning of lobby and restrooms.

Candidates must be able to operate credit card machines, tractors, bush hogs, and standard fuel trucks, and comply with ADA requirements. A NATA fueling license is required after selection.

Job description

FLSA: Part-Time Non-Exempt

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for mowing of the Airport grounds and fueling of various aircraft. The position also includes other duties, including but not limited to light maintenance of the buildings, and cleaning of the lobby/waiting areas/bathrooms. Applicant must have knowledge of credit card machines, tractors, bush hogs, and standard fuel trucks. Hours and days for the position will vary to support the airport's open hours Monday – Sunday. Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds. Applicant will be climbing ladders and balancing while fueling planes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS

Graduation from an accredited High School or successful completion of a GED examination and one year of experience in the operation of light construction equipment; or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates will be required to obtain a NATA fueling license.
