Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in airline ground operations, safety, or compliance roles.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training facilitation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute safety bulletins, posters, and procedural updates to station personnel.
  • Conduct ramp safety audits, issue warnings/tickets, and implement preventive measures.
  • Attend safety committee meetings, analyze incident data, and engage employees in safety initiatives.
  • Investigate and assist with incident/accident/injury reports, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Regional Director to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Work with training department to identify and address safety and OJT training deficiencies.
  • Oversee follow-up training for employees involved in incidents or accidents.
  • Retrieve and deliver import/export documents to and from aircraft as needed.

Job Summary

Airline Safety Supervisor - Full-Time - LAX

The Station Safety Supervisor promotes a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA, FAA, TSA, and company safety policies. This role involves conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations, as well as fostering a strong safety culture among station personnel. The advisor works with leadership to implement corrective actions, improve training programs, and analyze safety performance data.

  • Must have and maintain a valid US Driver’s License
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) fluently
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, aviation, or a related field.
  • Experience in airline ground operations safety programs.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment tools.
  • Strong employee engagement and training development experience.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and compliance reporting.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Work in outdoor environments with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in high-noise areas around aircraft and ground equipment.
