Job summary

KIHOMAC, Inc. in Randolph, TX seeks a Contract Field Team technician to execute maintenance on military aircraft, travel for extended periods, and train on wiring harnesses.

Required are 3+ years in the field, an FAA A&P license, and knowledge of FAA regulations. You will interpret manuals and drawings, manage inventories, and uphold safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in maintenance tasks.
• Broad knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection.
• Document maintenance actions in USAF/USN/US Army records (digital systems).
• Familiar with installing aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance on military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician.
• Travel for extended periods to various locations.
• Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses and basic wire terminations.
• Interpret manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned.
• Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures.
• Maintain tool control and accountability.
• Adhere to company policies and safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

• High School diploma required
• Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
• Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required

Experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
• Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements
• Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems
• Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.

Security:

• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
• Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC)
