Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance A&P Mechanic to maintain a growing fleet of CRJ and E175 aircraft. You will troubleshoot systems, make safety-critical decisions, and handle documentation while working nose-to-tail on our diverse fleet.

Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Salt Lake City with a three-year commitment, plus an additional $7,500 for military A&P experience. Night/third shift included and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid FAA-issued A&P Certificate.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.

Plus, new mechanics in Milwaukee (MKE), Chicago (ORD) and Salt Lake City (SLC) qualify for a $10,000 bonus with a commitment to work in that location for at least three years. Those with military A&P experience are also eligible for an additional $7,500 bonus. Primary Job Duties

As an A&P mechanic, you will work on the entire aircraft and effectively troubleshoot our growing fleet of CRJ200, CRJ550, CRJ700, CRJ900, and E175 aircraft. You will also:

  • Troubleshoot all aircraft systems
  • Be responsible for making critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner
  • Be trained to perform all maintenance functions unsupervised, at any time
  • Manage all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork
  • Meet all FAA and Safety Requirements
  • Hold a valid FAA-issued A&P Certificate
  • Possess good troubleshooting skills
  • Possess excellent communication and people skills
  • Possess problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Be willing to work a night/third shift position, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment, as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
  • Preferred: CRJ and EMB experience
  • Preferred: Be familiar with Company and Manufacturer Manuals

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Be able to read, write, and understand the English Language
  • Be able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely with or without reasonable accommodation
