Job summary

SPX Technologies TAMCO in Smyrna, Tennessee, is hiring for a hands-on manufacturing role on a paint line and laser-cut processing line. You will hang and unhang moving parts, break parts from laser-cut sheets, and assemble sub-assemblies according to work orders.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical inclination and basic math skills.
  • High attention to detail; comfortable working to precise tolerances.
  • Exposure to computerized manufacturing systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Overhead crane operation.
  • Self-driven; able to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiencies: Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical assembly skills.

Responsibilities

  • Hang and unhang moving parts on the paint line.
  • Break parts out of laser-cut sheets and stage them for next operations.
  • Build sub-assemblies by following work order instructions.
  • Assist machine operators with loading and unloading.
  • Pack and crate orders to meet shipping instructions.
  • Jump in to support other departments as directed by your supervisor.
