Job summary

Maryland Department of Transportation is seeking a Skilled Trade Specialist III Plumber at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). This journey-level role involves inspection and approval of plumbing work, installation and repair tasks, and potential crew leadership.

The position requires a four-year plumbing background and a journey-level license issued by the Maryland State Board of Plumbing.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience as a plumber and possession of a Journey level or higher Plumber License issued by the Maryland State Board of Plumbing.
• A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Additional substitutions for education with related plumbing experience or vocational training are described in notes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and approve the work of outside plumbing contractors or in-house non-licensed plumbing staff.
• Carry out the full range of plumbing installation and repair work.
• Perform the same work as the crew as needed at BWI Marshall Airport.
