Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking an Aircrew Scheduling Support team member to work on-site at Travis AFB, CA to build comprehensive aircrew schedules and coordinate with squadrons, training personnel, and external contractors. Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security clearance required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience as USAF aircrew member or in USAF/DoD flying squadron scheduling.
  • Experience as a scheduler in transportation, maritime, aircraft maintenance, or commercial airline.

Responsibilities

  • Builds long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.
  • Coordinates with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Coordinates with simulator contractors as required for simulator events.
  • Tracks crewmembers leave, temporary duty, schedules medical appointments or other scheduling commitments.
  • Coordinates with the training officer, training NCO, SARM, UDM, and DO to arrange a schedule to facilitate aircrew qualifications, upgrades, tests, and continuation training.
  • De-conflict crewmember schedules and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew members are available to meet mission taskings.
  • Tracks daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling.
  • Updates will be reported to squadron leadership and be made available to aircrew through Government-approved means.
  • Facilitates last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor.
  • Publishes/posts scheduling data for unit long- and short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on a government-designated system.
  • Complies with OG, OSO, and OST guidance when building the schedule.
  • Performs daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Coordinates with outside agencies/exercise participants and higher HQ representatives for reporting and to facilitate exercise and special event schedules.
  • Provides inputs to Wing Scheduling/Current Operations through attendance at weekly meetings for schedule coordination and de-confliction.
  • Produces Flight Authorizations which have cleared the Group Stan/Eval Go-No/Go process.
  • Updates Load Tracker for the next week’s schedule.
  • Produces the Flying Hour Program Report as requested.

Job description

RiverTech is providing Functional Support to Air Mobility Command flying squadrons. The focus of this work is to support the non-flying tasks in flying squadrons that were traditionally performed by aircrew members as additional administrative duties. RiverTech is looking for an Aircrew Scheduling Support team member to work at Travis AFB, CA to support mission operations in an aircrew flying squadron.

Responsibilities
  • Builds long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.
  • Coordinates with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Coordinates with simulator contractors as required for simulator events.
  • Tracks crewmembers leave, temporary duty, schedules medical appointments or other scheduling commitments.
  • Coordinates with the training officer, training non-commissioned officer (NCO), squadron aviation resource management (SARM), Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), and Operations Officer (DO) to arrange a schedule to facilitate aircrew qualifications, upgrades, test, exercises, and continuation training accomplishment to meet required currency and progression standards, in accordance with (IAW) squadron priorities.
  • Team member will de-conflict crewmember schedules and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew members are available to meet assigned mission taskings.
  • Tracks daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling.
  • Updates will be reported to squadron leadership and be made available to aircrew through Government-approved means.
  • Facilitates last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor (or equivalent) and flight representative(s) responsible for the shift that is not fully manned.
  • Publishes/posts scheduling data for unit long- and short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on a government-designated system.
  • Complies with Operations Group (OG), Wing Current Operations (OSO), and Group Training (OST) locally developed guidance when building the schedule.
  • Performs daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Coordinates with outside agencies/exercise participants and higher headquarters representatives for reporting and to facilitate exercise and special event schedules.
  • Provides inputs to Wing Scheduling/Current Operations through attendance at weekly meetings for schedule coordination and de-confliction.
  • Produces Flight Authorizations which have cleared the Group Stan/Eval Go-No/Go process.
  • Updates Load Tracker for the next week’s schedule.
  • Produces the Flying Hour Program Report as requested.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a USAF aircrew member, or
  • Experience working in a United States Air Force (USAF) Squadron, Group, or Wing flying/maintenance squadron, or
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) Flying Squadron, Group, or Wing flying scheduling office, or
  • Experience as a scheduler in a transportation, maritime, aircraft maintenance, or commercial airline company.
  • Must have an active Secret Security clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of a High School degree or GED.
  • Applicable Operational Specialty Codes (not required):
    • AFSC – 1C0XX, 1XXX—Operations; 1A0X1—Boom Operator, 1A1X1—Flight Engineer, 1A6X1—Flight Attendant,1A2X1—Loadmaster, 2A1X1—Aircraft Maintenance.
    • USA MOS – 15.
    • USMC MOS – 60XX, 61XX, 62XX, 73XX, 75XX.
    • USN NEC D0XX, G5XX; 8235/8251/8251—Flight Engineer.
    • Other aircrew specialties.
