Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp seeks technicians for a depot-level repair facility maintenance on aircraft such as AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8, F-35 and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include disassembly, repair, installation of systems, hydraulic tubing, tests, and fuel system components. Must be a US citizen, pass a NACI, and maintain a drug-free workplace; HS diploma and two years' experience required; A&P is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A&P license not required but a plus.
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience.
• Prefer experience from military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure background.
• Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviation experience.
• Must have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to pass a NACI which could include a credit check.
• We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in disassembly, repair, rework and installation of wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines.
• Assist with installing hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls.
• Assist in rigging, adjustment and tests on flight systems including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen/environmental systems and power plants.
• Assist in the installation of fuel system components including self-sealing fuel cells.
• Take hydraulic or fuel contamination samples, perform corrosion control treatment, including chemical or mechanical removal of corrosion deposits, Form-in Place seal removal and general labor tasks relating to aircraft systems maintenance.
• Performs fuel cell maintenance as designated.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties

• With oversight, assist in disassembly, repair, rework and installation of various systems and components such as wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines.
• Assist with installing hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls.
• Assist in rigging, adjustment and tests on various flight systems including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen/ environmental systems and power plants.
• Assist in the installation of fuel system components to include self-sealing fuel cells and assist with the preservation or depreservation of aircraft or aircraft components.
• Take hydraulic or fuel contamination samples, perform corrosion control treatment, including chemical or mechanical removal of corrosion deposits, Form-in Place (FIP) seal removal and a variety of general labor tasks relating to aircraft or aircraft systems maintenance.
• Performs fuel cell maintenance as designated
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to distinguish color, shades of color and judge three-dimensional depth.
• May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, crane, truck, tractor, etc.

Possible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed or required.

Environmental Factors

• Work in an inside/outside environment to include working around machinery, objects, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolds.
• Excessive noise and vibration that can be intermittent or constant.
• Environmental conditions can included but not limited to dust, silica, asbestos, fumes, smoke, gas, solvents such as degreasing agents, grease, oils, and electrical energy
• Working on slippery or uneven surfaces
• Working closely with others or working alone
