Qualifications

Job description

D2 Government Solutions is seeking a full-time qualified candidate for Aircraft Washer at our Homestead Air Reserve Base (HARB), Homestead, FL location.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete exterior washes of F-16 aircraft, including pre-wash preparation (masking, taping, and installing barrier material) and post-wash de-preparation (removing all coverings and returning aircraft to original configuration).
  • Apply approved cleaning compounds to all required aircraft surface areas, including the engine air inlet duct, nose radome, gun port, landing gear, and wheel well areas, following applicable technical order procedures.
  • Conduct aircraft lubrication services on landing gear and other designated areas in accordance with applicable technical orders and lubrication procedures.
  • Maintain FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention standards and adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and environmental protection regulations.
  • Document completed wash and lubrication tasks in aircraft forms and submit weekly reports of work completed to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Operate and maintain contractor-furnished equipment, including low-pressure washers (250 psi or less), and ensure all government-furnished equipment is properly cleaned and returned after each use.
  • Coordinate with the on-site Contract Manager and government personnel regarding the wash schedule, aircraft status, and any issues affecting performance.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing aircraft cleaning, washing, or related maintenance services for the Department of Defense or private industry.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow technical orders, safety data sheets, and written procedures for aircraft washing and lubrication operations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required base access, a Tier 1 (HSPD-12) security investigation, and a restricted area badge within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of proper handling, application, and disposal of hazardous cleaning chemicals and compounds in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 0700–1900, and weekends as mission requirements dictate, including potential swing shift operations (1500–2330).
