Job summary

TEL Staffing & HR is seeking a skilled Upholstery Technician to design, fabricate, and install aircraft interior upholstery and trim. You will work independently, oversee projects, and mentor junior technicians while supporting the Shop Lead.

This role requires reading engineering drawings, interpreting specifications, and using lean methods to improve safety and productivity. Candidates must be proficient in English, able to lift 40 pounds, and comfortable working on all shifts in a Savannah,

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Computer literate with basic software skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
• Knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains and assemblies.
• Interpret material specifications and drawings to meet requirements.
• Sew and install panels and interiors safely and accurately.
• Use Corridor to create parts demand, track issues, and sign off work.
• Mentor and supervise other upholstery technicians.
• Lead projects and coordinate tasks with team.
• Conduct safety audits and promote lean processes.
