FAA A&P certification is strongly preferred; equivalent experience with willingness to obtain certification may be considered.

Role Description The Aircraft Technician 3 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Opa-Locka, FL. This role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various business jet aircraft in accordance with FAA and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting aircraft systems, completing corrective actions, documenting work performed, and collaborating with other technicians and supervisors to ensure aircraft are returned to service safely and on time. The Aircraft Technician 3 will interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data, as well as use appropriate tooling and equipment for airframe, powerplant, and systems work. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring less-experienced technicians when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Aircraft Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete corrective actions to regulatory and company standards.
• Proficiency in Aircraft Structures, including sheet metal work, structural repairs, and alignment of components using approved data and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with PowerPlant systems, including engines, related components, and associated inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
• Knowledge of Aircraft Systems such as hydraulics, avionics, electrical, fuel, environmental, and landing gear, with the ability to diagnose and resolve system discrepancies.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate strongly preferred; equivalent experience with willingness to obtain certification may be considered.
• Previous experience working on business jets (e.g., Falcon, Challenger, Learjet, Hawker, Eclipse) is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance documents, and regulatory requirements; strong attention to detail and safety focus.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced hangar environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed to support operational demands.
