Job summary

MSCCN in Dallas seeks an experienced Aircraft Structural Sheet Metal Technician to troubleshoot, repair, inspect and modify airframe components. You will remove/install parts, fabricate modifications and assist in advanced repairs, documenting all work per manuals.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of structural sheet metal repair experience, appropriate tech schooling, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience or equivalent
  • Sheet metal A/C tech schooling or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
  • Certification (A&P or Repairman) for commercial work
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Own a basic set of hand tools and manage tool inventory
  • Must obtain Ground Support Equipment qualifications as required
  • Willingness to work overtime and on holidays as needed
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather
  • May need SIDA badge if applicable
  • Proficient with basic PC skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain customer aircraft
  • Remove/install aircraft components as required
  • Fabricate/modify structural modifications on aircraft parts
  • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components
  • Assist in hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures
  • Assist with complex structural repairs on or off aircraft
  • Document work performed per manuals and regulations
  • Operate ground support equipment as required
  • Assist with aircraft component repair
  • Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
