Job summary

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician for our H125 Final Assembly Line in Columbus, MS. You will perform sheetmetal work on aircraft or parts as part of a dedicated team, contributing to quality, safety, and efficiency on the production line.

The role requires a minimum of four years aviation experience and knowledge of blueprints; English proficiency is essential. A current A&P license is preferred but not required, and the position is based onsite in Columbus, MS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years related aviation experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical blueprints and drawings.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• A current A&P license is preferred but NOT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout of sheet metal parts by measuring and scribing for cutting and forming operations.
• Cut raw materials allowing for bend requirements, flanges, and crimping.
• Provide nesting arrangements to maximize parts per sheet.
• Prepare patterns or templates to simplify manufacturing processes and ensure proper dimensions.
• Install sheet metal parts and assemblies in aircraft while maintaining structural/systems integrity.
