Job summary

All Aviation Jobs is seeking a hands-on aircraft technician for in-person duties at Vandenberg Village, CA. Responsibilities include fueling, de-fueling, inspections, and ground handling to support pilots during arrivals and departures.

Your tasks include securing aircraft with chocks and grounding wires, operating ground support equipment, and performing pre-flight and turnaround inspections. Safety and teamwork are essential daily.

Qualifications

• Experience handling fueling operations on aircraft and basic aircraft servicing.
• Ability to perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
• Familiarity with hand/visual signaling for aircraft on ground.

Responsibilities

• Fueling and de-fueling aircraft.
• Assist pilots with ground maneuvers using signals.
• Perform inspections (pre-flight, post-flight, turnaround).
• Secure aircraft with chocks, tie-downs, grounding wires.
• Operate ground support equipment (power units, tow tractors).
• Clean aircraft interiors/exteriors.

Job description

Duties include, but are not limited to: fueling; de-fueling; engine oil servicing; direct incoming and outgoing aircraft near hangar area to assist pilots maneuvering of the aircraft on ground, using hand or light signals; pre-flight, post-flight, daily/turnaround, special and conditional inspections on aircraft; secures aircraft in parking position with chocks, tie down chains and grounding wires; check for fuel contamination by draining samples from low point drains; operate ground support equipment such as electrical power supply, tow tractor, light cart, and engine starting unit; clean exterior or interior of aircraft, using portable platform ladders, brushes, rags, water hoses, and vacuums interior floors of aircraft.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.36 per hour
