Job summary

M1 Support Services, LP seeks an Aircraft Servicer for the T-38 Flightline in Columbus, MS. This full-time role supports DoD aviation maintenance by servicing aircraft, launching and recovering, fueling, and coordinating with senior personnel.

You will perform pre-flights, assist aircrew, document maintenance actions, and ensure safety and quality in CAMS processes. A background in mechanical/technical work and the ability to obtain a flight line license are required.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience includes aircraft towing, washing, and corrosion control.
• Ability to perform launch/recovery and fuel operations is preferred.
• Must read, write, and understand English; prior mechanical/technical work required.
• Stable employment history and potential for advancement based on aptitude.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs servicing tasks on assigned aircraft.
• Coordinates servicing activities with senior section personnel.
• Assists aircrew in preparation for flight. Launches and recovers aircraft. Services fuel, oil, oxygen, hydraulic fluid, galleys, and lavatories.
• Takes fuel and oil samples.
• Performs minor aircraft maintenance per qualification.
• Uses de-icing equipment to de-ice aircraft. Performs tow team duties to include: wing walker, brake rider, tug driver, and tow team supervisor.
• Vacuums and cleans aircraft and aircraft transparencies.
• Performs all tasks associated with ground movement of aircraft to include marshalling.
• Performs pre-flights and thru- flights. May volunteer to perform BPO inspections when approved by Management.
• Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/ prevention, and safety at all times.
• Records maintenance actions in aircraft records and completes associated documentation as necessary.
• Removes and reinstalls panels. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
• Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
• Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
• Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty.
• Shall perform other assigned duties to include TDY and travel.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Maintenance experience includes aircraft towing, aircraft washing, and aircraft corrosion control, launch and recovery, refuel is preferred.
• A working knowledge of mechanical tools is required. High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Previous employment in mechanical or technical capacity is required.
• Stable employment history is required.
• Potential to progress to advanced positions based on enthusiasm, aptitude, self- improvement efforts, and attitude.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.

Working Conditions:

• Physical exertion requirement is medium.
