Job summary

STS Technical Services in Greensboro, NC is seeking Aircraft Service Center Technicians to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at a FAR 145 Repair Station.

Ideal for certified A&P Technicians with GA or corporate aircraft experience, you’ll perform inspections, troubleshoot systems, and ensure compliance with FAA and company safety standards. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • FAA A&P Certification earned through an FAA Part 147 school.
  • Experience at FAR Part 145 Repair Station with GA or corporate aircraft.
  • Strong understanding of 14 CFR Part 43; familiarity with Parts 91, 135, and 145 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems.
  • Conduct functional and operational checks and troubleshoot aircraft systems.
  • Document maintenance activity per Regulatory and Repair Station/Quality Manual procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of parts and components under maintenance.
  • Verify that all parts installed meet airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety policies and procedures.
  • Deliver clear and detailed shift turnovers when work is incomplete.

Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Service Center Technicians in Greensboro, North Carolina, to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations at an established FAR 145 Repair Station. This role is ideal for certified A&P Technicians with corporate or general aviation experience who are ready to deliver high-quality service in a dynamic, safety-driven setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems and components in accordance with approved methods and practices
  • Conduct functional and operational checks and troubleshoot affected aircraft systems
  • Document all maintenance activity per Regulatory and Repair Station/Quality Manual procedures
  • Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of parts and components under maintenance
  • Verify that all parts installed meet airworthiness and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety policies and procedures
  • Deliver clear and detailed shift turnovers when work is incomplete
Qualifications

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in interpreting work orders, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and inspection requirements
  • Experience using maintenance tracking software such as Quantum, Corridor, or SAP
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Willingness to work extended hours or travel with little notice as needed
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, reach, or stretch for extended periods
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted; heavier items with provided equipment
  • Work in variable environments including noise, heat, cold, dust, and aircraft odors
  • Use of PPE and compliance with all FAA, OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations
  • Must be able to read, hear, speak, and see without restriction as required for job duties
