Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a detail-oriented sanding technician to provide quality prep by sanding basic parts to tolerance. You will follow work orders, specifications, and procedures, operating pneumatic and hand sanding tools to prepare parts at the raw stage or before coat processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of sanding experience, with exposure to dust and noise in a factory environment. Safety gear may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of sanding experience.
• Able to work in environments with dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids.

Responsibilities

• Sand basic parts to tolerance according to work orders and specs.
• Operate pneumatic and hand sanding tools for prep before coats.
• Maintain focus to meet finish tolerance and quality.
• Work independently and take responsibility for own tasks.
• Perform related duties as required.
