Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Quality Inspector to perform inspections and tests of materials, parts and products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will review technical data, maintenance records, and directives to uphold safety and reliability of aircraft, components and equipment. Collaborating with QA, maintenance, management and engineering, you will interpret data, resolve issues, and ensure documentation and records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency certification.
• Six years total experience in aircraft maintenance (Army programs).
• Five years of aircraft maintenance or modification experience with at least 2 years performing quality inspections (APSD programs).
• FAA A&P license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to assure compliance with technical instructions and related directives.
• Interprets technical data and evaluates maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft, components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and directives.
• Reviews technical publications, directives, reports, and subsequent revisions and confers with quality assurance, maintenance, management, and engineering personnel to solve work-related problems.
• Inspects, tests and certifies mechanical and hydraulic, fuel, electrical and pneumatic aviation components.
• Inspects and reviews maintenance source documents, inspection records, and other related forms used in aircraft, vehicle, and equipment maintenance to ensure forms and records are current, and comply with established procedures, service guidance, regulatory and contract specifications.
• Implements and enforces quality policies and procedures that meet the requirements of ISO 9001/AS9110, Ground Operating Procedures, and Repair Station Quality Control Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
