Job summary

FlyUSA is seeking an Aviation Floor Inspector in Tampa, FL to perform detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and tooling, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures. You’ll act as the eyes on the floor to uphold safety and quality in maintenance operations.

The role requires an Airframe & Powerplant certificate with 3–5 years of maintenance experience, and the ability to interpret drawings and manuals.

Qualifications

High attention to detail and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience reading OEM manuals and FAA regulations.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong understanding of inspection processes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft, engines, avionics, and components.
Verify work is performed per OEM manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
Inspect for proper installation, security, alignment, torque, and workmanship.
Ensure traceability and airworthiness of parts and materials.
Monitor daily maintenance activities for procedural compliance (MEL, RII, torque, FOD).
Identify discrepancies or unsafe conditions and communicate findings to Leads/Supervisors.
