Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Material Specialist to work in hangar and warehouse, delivering parts, organizing storage, and supporting shipping, receiving and inventory. You will operate vehicles and assist with repairs parts.

This role is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement; schedules depend on seniority, may include overtime, weekends, and holidays. A valid US driver's license and ability to obtain a SIDA badge are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain a SIDA badge and meet local airport requirements.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Read and follow procedures including security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers.
• Executes receiving, shipping, checking, classifying, issuing, inventorying and warehousing of supplies, tools, materials and related records.
• Delivers parts and materials to the maintenance departments and ground equipment teams.
• Assembles stocking bins, shelves and decks and operates required power tools and vehicles.
• Picks up and delivers parts, equipment, and tools as assigned.
• Duties vary by station size and organization.
