Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton, WI seeks an Aircraft Painter II to safely prepare, paint and detail aircraft according to schedule and quality standards. You will work under minimal supervision, coordinating with supervision and inspection to ensure FAA sign-offs and proper documentation.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in paint processes with aircraft experience preferred, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in related paint processes; aircraft industry experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, paint and detail aircraft under minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection for FAA paperwork and quality specs.
• Follow SOPs for tools and equipment and maintain shop gear.
• Use sealants, paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals per SOPs.
• Stay aware of safety rules and address unsafe conditions.
