Job summary

AAA USA Inc. is seeking an experienced aircraft painter to prepare and finish primed aircraft components. You will mix primers and topcoats, apply coatings with spray equipment, and read engineering drawings to ensure adherence to specifications.

The role requires color matching, attention to detail, and compliance with safety and aerospace quality standards. Ideal candidates will be skilled in paint application, surface prep, and inspecting coatings, with ability to work from elevated platforms

Qualifications

  • Experience in aircraft or aerospace painting required.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Must distinguish colors and surface finishes accurately.
  • Experience with spray painting equipment and primers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft parts for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking and prep.
  • Mix primers, sealants, and topcoats per specs.
  • Apply primers, coatings, and finish paints using spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Match colors and finishes to specifications with coating quality.
  • Perform touch-ups, rework, and repairs as required.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections for coating thickness and quality.
  • Maintain paint booths and spray guns for proper operation.
  • Handle paints, solvents, and hazardous materials per regulations.
  • Support production schedules while ensuring safety and aerospace quality.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare aircraft parts and assemblies for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
  • Mix primers, sealants, and topcoats according to engineering specifications and manufacturer requirements.
  • Apply primers, coatings, and finish paints using conventional and specialized spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and planning documents.
  • Match paint colors and finishes to required specifications while ensuring coating consistency and quality.
  • Perform paint touch-ups, rework, and repairs as required.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify coating thickness and quality standards.
  • Maintain paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Support production schedules while maintaining compliance with safety, OSHA, customer, and aerospace quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Aircraft painting or aerospace painting experience required.
  • Experience operating industrial spray guns and paint application equipment.
  • Ability to prepare, mask, prime, and paint aircraft structures and components.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, shades, and surface finishes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work from elevated platforms, lifts, scaffolding, and ladders.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
