Job Description: Aircraft Maintenance Manager

We are a fast-paced aviation company experiencing rapid growth, seeking a highly motivated team member for our Miami facility. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role involves managing business operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and profitability within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate activities across production, sales, and distribution departments.
  2. Manage staff, including scheduling and duty assignment.
  3. Ensure compliance with quality procedures and manuals.
  4. Review operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for cost reduction and improvement.
  5. Optimize workflow through constraint and bottleneck management.
  6. Lead personnel management, including staffing, interviewing, hiring, and cross-training.
  7. Implement shop floor optimization, lean improvements, and conflict resolution strategies.
  8. Collaborate cross-functionally to allocate resources effectively.
  9. Identify negative trends proactively and develop solutions in coordination with management.
  10. Address customer concerns and adjust resources or schedules as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in operations management preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant License, FAA Part 65 certification required.
  • Knowledge of engineering, contracts administration, or program management.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer skills.
  • Team player with problem-solving skills.
