Responsibilities

• Manages, monitors or performs maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for military aircraft.
• Performs work under time and mission constraints in all weather and night operations.
• Oversees the work of lower graded mechanics and certifies work of journey level workers.
• Inspects performance to ensure compliance with technical publications and local policy.
• Performs diagnoses and solves malfunctions using TMDE, drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Ensures airworthiness and reflects status in ULLS-A and other documentation.
• Provides technical guidance to flight crews on discrepancies and malfunctions.
• Certifies in-process and final work and conducts proficiency training.
