Job summary

V2X is seeking an experienced Rotary Wing Aircraft Mechanic to join the Aircraft Integration and Sustainment team. Bring 5+ years of hands-on heavy aircraft maintenance experience to ensure airworthiness and reliability of our fleet.

You will perform inspections, oversee maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain accurate records in strict compliance with FAA regulations, ADs, and safety policies. A background check and ability to obtain a secret clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy aircraft maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), ADs, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data.
• Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

Join the V2X Aircraft Integration and Sustainment team. We are seeking an experienced Rotary Wing Aircraft Mechanic with a strong background in aircraft overhaul and Depot Maintenance settings. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on experience, ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and airworthy.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.


• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data.


• Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions.


• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.


• Ability to obtain a secrety security clearance may be required.


• High School diploma.


• Valid U.S. Drivers License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with: TH-57, Bell 206, TH-73, AW-119.


• Experience in a fast‑paced or maintenance/modification environment.

Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions

• May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.


• May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions.


• May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.


• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.


• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.


• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.


• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.


• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.


• May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.


• Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.


• Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.


• Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.


• May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
